Write For Push-Start



Push-Start.co.uk is looking for new writers to join the expanding editorial team. Push-Start is a part of the PushStartMedia Network and is recognised as one of the leading independent website dedicated to the Gaming and Film industry.
We are currently seeking to recruit a number of people to join our team to write news and features. If your application is successful we shall give you the opportunity of joining our reviews and previews team.
Working at Push-Start is a voluntary position and is sadly not a payable job. Even though this said if you are as passionate about games as we are you would notice the endless possibilities at Push-Start that can open a gate way to much bigger outcomes.  If you become a member of the Review and Preview team, you have the possibility to receive games to review/preview and their forever yours to keep. We will also give you reference’s for any job in the future you apply for.  On top of all this, we can offer you the right contacts to help you further your career in the gaming industry.
ROLES AVAILABLE & REQUIREMENTS
News Writers
This is the job for those who like to post about news.  News Writers will be required to make no less than 5 posts per week as the minimum, people who post the most will be able to move up to better positions of the site. Successful Candidates need to search the Internet for news and be able to decipher press releases into a readable news format for readers to read.  We hate biased articles! Those who become News writers can not be biased to a type of game, if you post’s become biased then your time sadly at Push-Start will be short lived. This included for both Films & Games writers.
Feature Writers
Writing a featured article may sound exciting, but it’s much more harder than it sounds. You will need to have the ability of researching the subject you want to right a feature about including being creative in the process.  Features range from anything including the popular “Top 10 Mario Games” to “The Top 5 worst endings in video games”. Feature writers should always user their initiative to produce a solid article with facts and proof along with there own opinion.  This role is suited for the experience gamer. You would be required to write 1 article a week.
Podcast Manager
To become the Podcast Manager at Push-Start you will need to maintain a high level of sound editing skills. All applicants should have experience with pod-casting before and have all software required for them to record the weekly podcast.


Please note: Applicants must be 18+
All staff must be able to use the English language in excessive use along with a huge passion for writing. All applicants should attach any previous work they have produced.
